Where your money goes
Donations go to hand-outs at Al-Haram and to running this service.
That includes the meals, Qurans and prayer rugs we hand out, the people who do the work, filming every hand-out so you can see it, the ads that help people find us, the website, and card processing fees.
What each gift is
Friday gifts. We hand out one item each Friday, in rotation: one week hot meals, the next Qurans, the next prayer rugs. Your gift goes into the nearest Friday of its item, and the video of that hand-out comes to you by email.
- A hot meal — $10. Also 3 meals for $30 and 10 meals for $89.
- A Quran (a complete printed mushaf) — $12. Also 3 for $36 and 10 for $99.
- A prayer rug — $10. Also 3 for $30 and 5 for $48.
- A shade umbrella — $10: shade over a pilgrim in the Makkah sun.
- Sponsor a Friday — $250: the whole Friday hand-out to pilgrims at Al-Haram, in your name.
Named gifts. Handed over within 48 hours of your gift, any day of the week, with the name spoken aloud on camera. You receive your own video and a PDF certificate by email.
- My Meal in Makkah — $39.
- My Prayer Rug in Makkah — $39.
- My Quran in Makkah — $49: a complete mushaf placed into a pilgrim's hands at Al-Haram.
- My Wheelchair in Makkah — $179: a wheelchair given to an elderly or disabled pilgrim at the Haram.
Umrah Badal — $600. A full Umrah performed in Makkah on behalf of your deceased or ill loved one, by a Muslim who has completed his own Umrah. It takes 1 to 3 days, and you receive the full video and a certificate by email.
All proceeds support the charitable mission of Sadaka Live Corp, a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
What has been handed out
Since 18 September 2026, when our current records start:
- 18 September: at least 24 hot meals. Watch the hand-out
