Mission and programs

Our mission

Sadaka Live Corp is a US 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 32-0816201) working in Makkah, a short walk from Al-Haram.

Our mission is to carry the sadaqah and duas of Muslims anywhere in the world to Al-Haram in Makkah: duas read by name every Friday, and food and gifts handed out by hand to pilgrims and people in need.

Every day thousands of pilgrims, workers and travellers around the Haram are far from home with very little. Some pray on flattened cardboard. Some break their fast with nothing. Many came without a mushaf. We are here, every week, and we hand help to them ourselves.

Our programs

1. Free dua at Al-Haram. Any Muslim, anywhere in the world, can send us a dua on this website, in WhatsApp or on Instagram. Every Friday we read the duas at Al-Haram by name, and on Friday evening, Makkah time, we write back with a short video from the Haram. This program is free and always will be. There is nothing to buy. No contribution is required. Support is entirely optional and does not affect your dua request. Since 1 September 2026 we have received more than 7,900 dua requests. 2. Friday hand-outs. Every Friday our team hands out one kind of gift to pilgrims around Al-Haram, in rotation: hot meals one week, printed Qurans the next, prayer rugs the week after. Every hand-out is filmed and published with its date. Gifts for this Friday are collected until Friday 21:00 Makkah time (prayer rugs: until 12:00 noon Makkah time) and handed out at Al-Haram on that Friday. Gifts received after the cut-off go into the next Friday's hand-out. About the Friday hand-outs →

3. Hand-outs in someone's name. A supporter can dedicate a meal, Quran or prayer rug to a person they love, living or departed. We hand it over at the Haram within 48 hours and say the name on camera, and the supporter receives the video. About named gifts →

4. Monthly support (Friday Circle). Supporters who help every month have a gift in every Friday hand-out, all year round, without having to remember. About the Friday Circle →

5. Zakat for hot meals. We accept Zakat only for hot meals handed directly to people in clear need near Al-Haram, so that it reaches eligible recipients and becomes their property. Zakat calculator →

How we work

We hand everything out ourselves. There are no intermediaries between a contribution and the person who receives the gift. We count a hand-out only when it is filmed and published, and each one is listed with its date in our Hand-out reports.

How contributions are used

Contributions fund the items we hand out and the costs of carrying out the program: the people who do the work, filming every hand-out, this website and outreach, and card processing fees (about 3% + 30¢ per card payment, charged by Stripe). We rent no office. See How we use your support and our Financial information.
